Service Description
This class is perfect for first-time potters or those who need a refresher! ~ Clay Teachings ~ The primary emphasis of this course will be establishing a good understanding of the fundamentals of hand-building and learning to get comfortable with the craft. Throughout the classes, you will get introduced to the basics of hand-building, an overview of clay, and various techniques like pinch pots, coil building, slabs, surface decoration, and glazing. Each set of techniques will build off the previous class , but simplified enough to jump right into it if it's your first class. ~ Projects ~ We will have one new beginner- intermediate project per week. Week One: Vase + Gratitude Bowl with Pinch Pots Week Two: Planter with Coil Building + Extruder Week Three: Candle Holder or Free Form Design with Combining Techniques and going over Surface Design Week Four: Incense Holder with Floral Printing and Slab Building Week Five: Learning the techniques of glazing. Join one or all! The series includes all materials and firing cost. All five workshops cost $270. All materials and tools are provided with additional supplies available for purchase. ~On-Site Childcare Circle Available Upon Request ~ Please Request at check-out. Cancelation Policy
Artillery Ceramics is a small community studio and we appreciate your patronage. All sales are final, we are unable to issue refunds. Rescheduling Policy: If you are unable to attend a booked class, please let us know as soon as you can. If we have a class that is not fully booked, we can transfer you into an available session for a $15 fee per seat. Classes are subject to change/be rescheduled if the minimum student quota of 4 students isn't met. Refunds: Due to our small class size, refunds are issued only if we are able to fill the seat. We cannot offer refunds if we are not able to fill the seat. Processing Fees: There will be a $15 fee for any changes made to your booking. Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your session, we respectfully ask that you provide at least 24 hour notice. We understand that things come up, so please communicate any changes as soon as possible so we can coordinate with our team. We are unable to process refunds if you cannot attend your scheduled booking. Make-Up Glaze Session: If you miss a glaze session, you may book a glaze session through our website!
