Coffee Bueno Pop-Up
DREAM COLLAB COME TRUE !
I have been wanting to bring in collaborators who are aligned with our mission: taking care of the Earth while creating a climate-conscious pottery experience in our studio. When I met Kaory from Coffee Bueno, the similarities in our mission and vision were so clear — it was an instant yes to all the collaborations.
🌿 Fun fact: Our families are both from the same place in Mexico — Nayarit — which made this connection even more special.
We’re so grateful we were able to activate our Tea Bar at the front of the studio in collaboration with Coffee Bueno. Their vision of starting an intentional coffee bar and gathering space emphasizes reciprocity in communal spaces, operating through a gift-giving economy while implementing zero-waste and slow-living principles.
And we are so here for this! 💛 Thank you so much for contributing to our community with your offering, y’all!
Tumblers hand crafted at the event
The Impact — 22 Handmade Tumblers, 22 Cups Saved
At this first-ever Coffee Bueno pop-up, 22 ceramic tumblers were made by community members in our studio. That means:
- 22 fewer single-use cups used in just one afternoon.
- If each of those tumblers is used just once a week instead of a disposable cup, that’s 1,144 cups kept out of the landfill in one year.
- Use them daily? That’s over 8,000 disposables avoided — from this single event alone.
And unlike paper cups lined with plastic, ceramic tumblers last for years, don’t leach microplastics, and become part of a personal ritual instead of waste.
The Vibe — Creativity + Coffee
The studio was alive with the sound of clay being shaped, glazes being brushed on, and friends catching up over fresh pour-overs. You could feel the joy in the room — every table had people laughing, creating, and learning.
Kaory and the Coffee Bueno crew served coffee with intention, offering warm hospitality and beautiful drinks that matched the care and craft happening at the pottery tables. It wasn’t just a café pop-up; it was a gathering space, an exchange of energy, and a community act of care.
Thank You
To everyone who came, sipped, and created — you’re part of the ripple effect. The tumbler you made is more than just a cup. It’s a statement that daily habits can be beautiful, intentional, and sustainable.
We can’t wait to do it again. Stay tuned for our next Open Studio Tumbler Glazing + Coffee Bueno Café Pop-Up — because every cup counts.
