Fruit Pipes

  • The Fruit Pipe course is an intensive ceramics workshop designed to teach participants how to create a functional and decorative fruit-shaped pipe, adorned with flowers and leaves. Over one session, students will learn to sculpt and add clay flowers to their custom pipe, combining creativity with practical skills.



  • Course Structure

    Single Class: Modeling and Decoration

    Duration: 4 hours

    • Introduction to the course and presentation of the “Fruit Pipe” project

    • Initial design of the pipe, choosing the type of fruit, and planning the sculpture

    • Modeling the fruit-shaped base of the pipe using hand-building techniques

    • Adding decorative details like flowers and leaves

    • Preparing the piece for kiln firing

    • Finishing techniques to enhance details and textures

    • Final evaluation and discussion of the learning experience.

    Target Audience

    This course is open to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced. No prior ceramics experience is required.

Tree of Life ( 2 Part Workshop)

  • The “Tree of Life” course is a ceramics workshop designed to teach students to create a unique art piece using traditional clay techniques. Over two sessions, participants will build a “Tree of Life” – a symbolic and decorative structure that combines pinch, slab, and coil techniques, along with wire and miniature elements to adorn the tree.



  • Course Structure

    Session 1: Introduction and Design


    • Introduction to the course, the project, and the history of the “Tree of Life”

    • Explanation of slab, and coil techniques

    • Preliminary tree design and construction planning

    • Demonstration of pinch technique to create the tree base


    Tree Structure Building

    • Continue using the pinch technique for the base

    • Introduction to slab technique for creating the trunk

    • Assembly of trunk and base

    • Begin using clay coils to form the tree branches


    Detailing and Refinement

    • Assemble clay coils to add details and textures

    • Refine structure and ensure all joints are secure

    • Introduction to wire use to support future miniature decorations


    Session 2: Wire Integration and Miniatures

    • Techniques for incorporating wire into the tree structure

    • Creation of clay miniatures to decorate the tree (flowers, leaves, symbolic figures)

    • Attaching miniatures to the wire and placing them on the tree

    • Completion of the structure, preparing it for drying

Fruit Trays

  • The Fruit Tray course is an intensive ceramics workshop designed to teach participants how to create a fruit-themed tray decorated with flowers and leaves. In a 3-hour class, students will learn hand-building techniques to design a unique and functional tray, combining creativity and utility.


  • Single Class: Modeling and Decoration

    Duration: 3 hours

    • Introduction: Presentation of the Fruit Tray project and its inspiration.

    • Modeling Techniques: Explanation of hand-building and sculpting techniques.

    • Design: Selection of fruit types and planning the composition.

    • Tray Modeling: Creating the tray base using hand-built clay slabs.

    • Decorative Details: Adding fruits, flowers, and leaves as decorations on the tray.
